The Mays Executive MBA Program is a new program that began on August 29, 1999. The program is offered at The University Center in The Woodlands, Texas, north of Houston. This site is about 60 miles from the Texas A&M University campus in College Station, Texas.
All classes are taught by full time Texas A&M University Mays Graduate School of Business faculty who travel to The University Center.
The program is modular in structure, based on a set of seven core competencies, and focused on the theme of "The Value Creation Process." The modular approach allows cross-functional consideration of topics and draws heavily on the experiences of the program participants. Each module stresses the core competencies of the program.
The program stresses a peer learning environment through class discussions and study groups.
Each participant completes a major project that integrates program content with issues he or she is facing in the organization. The project document is submitted to the participant's organization for review and to the Executive MBA Program for evaluation.
