Significant changes since 1997

In 1999, the school added a technology and entertainment residency in Palo Alto and Hollywood.

Two travel residencies are required: one each year for both Management and Finance EMBA programs. (Finance 00: Seoul and Shanghai, Finance 99: London, Frankfurt, Warsaw.)
Management 00: Palo Alto and L.A.. Management 99: Hong Kong, Shanghai, Beijing plus add-on weeks to Japan and Vietnam/Cambodia.

Over the course of the 1999-2000 academic year, the school will host the Distinguished Speakers Luncheon Series on E-Commerce.

Special trips or projects outside of country
Mandatory

First year EMBA students travel in conjunction with the course, Integrative Exercises. The location and focus change each year and are determined by selected faculty -U.S. or overseas.

Second year EMBA students complete an international study tour in a country or region determined by class vote. The trip is part of the school's Management Strategy II course.

Programs for the spouses of Executive MBA candidates

Spouse attend a full-day program in the early Fall. The program includes an alumni panel; lectures: managing stress, negotiation; a campus tour and a reception.

Spouces are also invited to dinners, parties, movies, private museum tours with their partners, dances, Rock Band concerts, etc.
