Significant changes since 1997
The School added a significant focus on E-business. E-commerce is a theme running throughout the content of the entire program and is covered in every class.
The School just completed the installation of a distance learning infra-structure including automated cameras that follow the instructor as they move around the room. Cameras also automatically shift to an audience participant who speaks. With this capability the School is putting into place distance learning opportunities beginning in January 2000. The first program will be with The London Business School on "Managing Complex Decisions."
The School launched a Health Care Track - participants in the HCT take just over 20% of their classes on health care specific topics. The other 80% are classes with regular participants. This mix provides sufficient opportunities to tailor the learning to unique and important health care issues such as "Controlling for Medicare fraud and abuse," but still affording the HCT participant maximum opportunity to learn from their colleagues with business backgrounds.
