Description
|
This program integrates elements of executive development into four one-week sessions. Each session is devoted to a specific development area (HR issues, marketing strategies, organizational changes and managerial strategies, financial strategies). Mid-to-senior-level managers from large companies make up a majority of the participants in the program. Enrollment options are now offered for executives who are interested in attending the session or sessions (weeks) of choice. No longer is subscription to all four parts required and particiants can get into the program at any week in the schedule. Because of this option, there are fluctuations in enrollment from week to week.

Description
|
The primary objective of this customized program is to strengthen the core competencies of AEP managers. In two week-long sessions, with a short two-day program in between, participants are taught leadership development, strategic thinking, effective marketing, general management, and financial management. The program presents a combination of faculty led sessions with AEP executives presenting company perspectives. Company-sponsored team projects are also integrated into the curriculum. This program has been offered to AEP Managers since early 1980's.

Fisher is currently working on developing modules for Internet-based, non-credit programs. The school recently received a grant through Ohio State University to fund part of the development. It is looking at piloting the first module on Negotiations in Spring 2000. The school is also looking at developing modules in Leadership and Managing Change.

In November of 1999 Fisher will open its new Center for Executive Education, Pfahl Hall. The Center will house seven tiered classrooms, 10 breakout rooms, a full service restaurant and banquet space. With the new building the school is adding 10 new exec ed programs for the 1999-'00 year. In addition, a 150 room Executive Residence will be completed by 2001.
