AUGUST 2003 MBA JOURNAL: B-SCHOOL REVIEW Sucharita Mulpuru: Reflections on the Overall MBA Experience [Page 2 of 2] 10. Disorientation. "It's like orientation only now you know everyone," was how the week between the end of classes and graduation was described to me. It was a fun-filled week of activities, hiking, clubbing, dining, partying, and picnicking with the entire class. One of the highlights was a slideshow that a classmate spent nearly a year putting together. He took funny mugshots of all 364 of my classmates with his digital camera and then presented them in alphabetical order at our senior banquet. The entire week was a nostalgic and appropriate way to close out two great years and say our farewells to those we'd befriended in such a short period of time. Epilogue While I am a bit blue that it' over, I am very happy with my decision to have gone to business school, and especially to Stanford. My peers were all so kind and gifted, my professors were magnanimous and brilliant, the administration was supportive and open-minded, and the university was so full of energy and inspiration. It was a marvelous experience in so many ways – academically, intellectually, and socially. I do not think I could have found a graduate school experience that would have been a better fit for me personally. Two years ago, I would not have suspected that I would be where I am now, ready to move to the East Coast and start a job at another Fortune 500 company, but I am pleased with the journey and anticipate eagerly where it will take me. I'll be moving to the New York/New Jersey area to begin the management rotation program at Toys R Us. At very least, I thought that business school would be a relatively fun way to earn a master's degree. The diploma was, fortunately, only one small part of the entire experience.
