Biographical Info:

In 1991, Dean Penley was selected as Dean of the College of Business at Arizona State University. After leaving the University of Texas at San Antonio in 1985, he joined ASU as Professor of Management and Chair of the Department. He holds the University's Bob Herberger Arizona Heritage Chair.

Dean Penley has taught strategic and human resource management. His executive training experience and his consulting have brought him in contact with industries ranging from manufacturing to health care. His research has focused on individuals' organizational relationships and the skills required of effective managers, and it has been published in the leading academic journals. Dean Penley is Chair of AACSB - The International Association for Management Education. At ASU, he is an affiliated faculty member with the Center for Latin American Studies. He serves on the boards of the Greater Phoenix Economic Council and Wells Fargo Bank Arizona. He is past Chair of the K-12 Education Task Force of the Valley Citizens League. A member of the Advisory Board of INROADS/Arizona, he was honored with the Frank C. Carr Award.
