Dark Star Safari: Overland from Cairo to Cape Town by Paul Theroux
A travel book of Theroux's adventures as he travels from the top of Africa to the bottom. The book argues that all the aid developing countries provide to Africa may be doing more harm than good.

In the Heart of the Sea by Nathaniel Philbrick
The true story of the whaleship Essex, which inspired Moby Dick. A story of courage and survival.

Any novel by P.D. James or mystery novels by Colin Dexter

I love English murder mysteries and these are two of the best writers in this genre.

Winning at New Products by Robert G. Cooper
A great how-to-guide for managers interested in improving their new product development processes.

Innovator's Solution by Clayton M. Christensen and Michael E. Raynor
I particularly like the chapter on "What Products Will Customers Want to Buy," which discusses the notion of customers "'hiring' products/services to help them accomplish specific jobs."
