Boston University School of Management students wary of conducting any professional student networking on Facebook have come up with their own solution. With the help of the school, they have created their own private social networking site. The BU-hosted online social network has a number of Facebook-like features. For instance, students can post a photo, resume, industry of interest and a downloadable business card, as well as contact their fellow students about interviews or business opportunities.
The site launched in October and is currently being used by about 100 graduate students. Plans are underway to allow undergraduates to access the site, the school said.
