According the Chicago Tribune, some applicants to top schools are apparently not above trying to sabotage the chances of rivals by sending damaging information or links to questionable entries on competitors’ Facebook pages to admissions offices. Sarah Perez expands on the technological aspects of this in the ReadWriteWeb blog, outlining, among other things, the dangers of photo tagging. The Tribune story talks about undergrad admissions, but there’s no reason why it can’t be happening on the graduate level as well. Has anyone had any b-school experience with this?
