Graduates' Comments:

The BW survey addresses many tangible aspects of evaluating one's MBA experience. Clark Atlanta University, however, despite its technology and facility limitations, has an MBA program with several "intangible" benefits to students. For example, students are on a first-name basis with administrators and instructors due to small class sizes (70-75 students per graduating class). Another example of the intangible benefits found here is the assignment of a second-year MBA mentor to provide guidance and friendship throughout the MBA experience. Lastly, there are many student-run programs and activities which provide opportunities for building management and leadership skills. Many of my classmates landed excellent positions with various Fortune 500 companies. --Brand Management Marketing Assistant

Clark Atlanta University provided a top educational experience. The most impressive aspect of the CAU program is career placement. The recruiting companies, placement rates, and starting saleries are on par with the top 20 schools. However, the tuition is about $30,000 less than the top 20 schools. I am happy with my decision to attend CAU and I recommend the program. --Marketing

The career placement center does an outstanding job. There is one corporate representative for the MBA program. But there is one key weakness with the program: Clark Atlanta University does not have a dean. There is a tug-of-war over when the school will name an official dean. Without a leader, the school's leadership and mission is not in a good position. CAU's business school is going through a reorganization. Currently the faculty would like a better teaching environment (i.e., technology, renovated building) that the school cannot provide because of limited resources. The administration operates under the one-for-all mentality when it comes to allocating resources. As soon as the administration allows the business school to be its star, the business school will prosper through the 21st century. Until then, the school will provide great jobs with an eroding future. On a scale of 1 to 10, I rate CAU's B-school a 7.5. --Assistant Brand Manager

Clark Atlanta not only deserves recognition as a historically black university (HBCU), but also as an outstanding business school ready to flourish and become one of the top business schools in the country. --Associate Brand Manager

Clark Atlanta utilizes its sparse resources to the best of its ability. Additional time, money, and effort are needed to improve the quality of instruction and instructors in the marketing department. Due to its small size, Clark Atlanta encourages and fosters teamwork! Although my experience was trying at times, Clark Atlanta gave me the opportunity to successfully change my career. --Assistant Product Director

My experience at CAU has greatly improved my status in life. I chose to attend a small historically black college to receive individual and personal attention. I found an environment that was concerned about my success as an individual, not the advancement of the school. CAU recognizes that recognition and respect from the business community will come from the products (students) they put in the workforce. I'm proud to say that I attended a university that has prepared me for success. The number of CAU alumni succeeding in the business community is a testiment to quality of our program. --Marketing
