STRATEGY FOR APPLICANTS
| |
Interviews are a crucial part of the admissions process at Babson, required of all applicants for the last four years either on campus, at MBA Forums or other overseas administrative visits, or by telephone. The school strongly encourages applicants to visit the campus if at all possible; a general information session is held monthly throughout the year, as well as a morning visitors program during the academic year that includes a campus tour and class visit. You can schedule an interview and/or campus visit by calling the admissions office.
In your visits and essays, you'll want to emphasize your appreciation for living and working in a diverse world and how you value differences among people -- an important part of the school's culture. Babson also requires applicants to have at least two years of work experience before enrolling. You'll also want to get your application in as early as possible -- almost all spots are filled by the March deadline, with only extraordinarily qualified applicants considered after that. You can expect a response six to eight weeks after the deadline you meet.
