Business School Requirements: ACCTG 215, ACCTG 225; QMETH 201; MGMT 200; B ECON 300; MKTG 301; I S 300; I BUS 300; OPMGT 301; FIN 350; MGMT 300; MGMT 320; MGMT 430; and 300- or 400-level business electives to bring the total number of business credits to 72; and two writing-intensive courses.

93% of business students graduate from the program within four years of admission to the university

99% of business students graduate from the program within six years of admission to the university

What special programs are available to business students?
Business Honors allows students with exceptional academic records to work with professors in independent study/research. The Certificate of International Studies in Business (CISB) focuses on the cross-cultural skills & knowledge needed in the global marketplace. The Sales Certificate develops skills in selling, creating customer partnerships & developing new business. Retail Management develops skills to succeed in an industry reverberating with technology, customer service & market expansion.

Students may participate in study abroad through 259 programs offered through the University. There are also Business School to Business School exchanges available in Chile, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Netherlands, Singapore and Taiwan.

The Business and Economic Development Center (BEDC) links UW Business School students/faculty/staff with a racially and ethnically diverse business and nonprofit community to expand students' knowledge and skills, help small businesses grow, create and retain jobs, open educational opportunities for under-represented minority students, and stimulate innovative economic development research. Students and advisors provide up to 400 hours of consulting services to small businesses annually.

5 new servers expanded the school network, wireless network installed and upgraded through School; Blackboard system for undergraduates; updated hardware and software installed in all faculty/staff offices, classrooms and computer labs; NASDAQ trading room; intranet and home page portal for staff & students, integrated school calendar system; integration of Business School systems with University's "MyUW" for student access of information.
