STUDENT COMMENTS

Seton Hall Undergraduate business program is one of the most underated programs in the country. The events and learning that students have the ability to take part in are excellent. It is a shame this is not one of the top recognized programs. There are many students, like myself, that could compete head to head with Wharton or Harvard undergraduates. I am more than confident with that statement.

Undergraduate Assessment really helped me learn in a group environment.

I feel that the Stillman School of Business at Seton Hall University has gone beyond my expectations as a business school. They have helped me in every aspect and have been there whenever I have reached out for help.

Seton Hall University strives to be the best, and this effort is demonstrated in the actions the university takes and has taken to get the student the best education possible. The accounting program at the school is one the best and I will recommend the program to anyone.

I believe Seton Hall University's Stillman School of Business is great and does everything possible to prepare students for the real world. The professors are extremely knowledgeable and have past experiences in the field. In addition, the career center is outstanding and the staff does a tremendous job to get students involved with possible employers and helps them prepare through workshops like résumé writing and interviewing skills.

Stillman offers a very comprehensive program. Like many other programs there are aspects, such as variety and currentness of class offerings, that could be better and should be reworked. I do believe, however, that Stillman graduates are well-equipped to compete in the corporate world alongside, if above Wharton or Stern graduates.

The Business School failed to assign a chairperson to the Finance Dept. who is known in the securities industry and that can bring in banking firms such as Goldman and Merrill to recruit. My heart is in the securities Industry and unfortunately, I will be working in the accounting industry. I have a very solid GPA, double major (finance and accounting), top 10% in my class, have great work experience and leadership skills, and I was not able to find a job on Wall Street. I don't think that is my fault.I think the Finance Dept. needs to do a better job marketing our program to banking firms. Also, I believe the Finance Dept. needs to hire more professors and offer more classes.

The business school introduced me to an environment that was purely identical to the business world. I did not feel teachers did not care when they made me do my own research. It was merely a lesson on how the business world works. Finding a job is not about using your school's name to be placed. The Stillman School understood that networking is essential in a business environment. Therefore, they found it necessary to establish countless opportunities for me to do my own networking. I am proud to be apart of this community. It has been an incredible experience as well the best four years of my life.

Seton Hall Stillman Business School is a great and very serious school to be a part of. You have to have your head on straight in order to do what is needed to pass these classes. I enjoy the challenge.

The accounting department has outstanding professors. Those that I have taken were very knowledgeable in their fields and were very helpful. The professors for finance are very good as well. The one who stood out was Professor Brian Henderson, who helped strengthen our class' understanding of finance in our financial strategy. The professors in both departments used real-world events/situations in their teachings, which gave us the opportunity to apply what we learned in class. The Global Business Colloquium class (BINT) was good, but some of information the professors provided dated back as far as 2003.

The business program has done an outstanding job in preparing students for a teamwork environment, public speaking, and the skills necessary to find employment after graduation.

My experience was memorable. The connections I've made with students and faculty, my sense of awareness of the larger environment that I am part of, and my preparedness to compete in the global economy, are priceless.

The reputation of the business school is taken down by the reputation of the rest of the university. If you look solely at the business school, it is great.

I have had an excellent experience at Seton Hall and my time here has made me a better person in many ways. It truly is a place for mind, heart, and spirit.

Certain teachers really took the time and effort to push students to reach their goals. The business school, organizations, and the career center provided numerous opportunities to meet and network with major and minor employers in the area.

Came back to school to complete degree started 20 years ago. Retired from job after 30 years. Looking forward to going into nonprofit arena and starting a new career, thanks to our business school's wonderful faculty.

I am not a fan of Seton Hall itself. However, the Stillman School of Business was worth the experience. When people ask me what school I go to, I tell them the Stillman School of Business. I have had a great time and give the business school two thumbs up. The rest of Seton Hall should take notes from the business school and get its act together.

The accessibility of the administration has given many proactive students the opportunity to form close relationships with the deans, which just does not happen at some of the larger business schools. If I had to give a recommendation to a high school senior, I'd recommend my school: The Stillman School of Business at Seton Hall University.

Seton Hall Needs to get in touch with more big companies to help its business school students get into to the job marketplace.

The business school has wonderful classroom facilities. Professors are brilliant academics with extensive real-world experience. They bring this experience to the classroom and really help students know how to apply the knowledge they are gaining to assignments, future careers, and life in general. I highly recommend this program and I feel that our business program has been greatly underrated in the past.
