STUDENT COMMENTS

The classes and professors are all amazing and challenging here at the University of San Diego. I feel that I have become much more of an intelligent individual while studying here. I could not see myself going to any other school for business.

Small class sizes have contributed tremendously to my education. Accessible and caring teachers have taught me a lot both in the classroom and out. The caliber and type of students I have met in the business program have all been very similar. I know very few people, if any, who ditch class to drink or party etc. or who come totally unprepared because "no one will notice." I think this helps add a bit of competition in the classrooms as well.

Accounting department is a great program: great professors and networking opportunities.

Class sizes were excellent. They allowed for more individual attention from professers than possible at larger state schools.

Professors, besides offering office hours for extra help, often provide an outside e-mail address or phone number where they can be reached if we have any questions.

Classes are challenging and keeps you busy during the week. The flexibility of available classes allow me to work part-time (18-24 hours a week) during my school career. The atmosphere of the campus is very relaxing. Teachers are readily available for comments and questions. Professors encourage feedbacks at the end of each semester to help them evaluate their strengths and weaknesses.

The USD Business Department should pride itself on its teaching staff. The teachers have a passion for their subject matter, and it shows in their lectures and assignments. Every teacher that I have had within the department has challenged me as an academic, a leader, and as an ethical and moral individual.

I love USD and I have had a wonderful experience in my program. I have had a few phenomenal professor such as Judd, Linda Barckas, Margheim, Pattison, Morris, Dalton, and Jim Smith. I would definitely recommend accounting and the business program to anyone.

I came into the University of San Diego Business school knowing very little about business, and now I feel that I could work for any company in America.

USD is determined to educate its students and inspire their students to do better. I feel like I chose the right school to help me achieve my goals in the future.

One of the best aspects of the business program is a selling class called personal selling that I am taking now. It is really for students who want to be successful and take their careers seriously. This class isn't really offerred at all universities. I feel it is unique!

The school and business program have both adequately prepared me for what lies ahead. Even before the accounting scandals, the program focused heavily on ethics in the business world and continues to do so. I have been very impressed with the level of education I have received here at the University of San Diego.

Career Services' on-campus interviewing is especially strong for accounting.

Overall, the business program at the University of San Diego provides a well-rounded education that prepares students for careers after graduation. However, the academic advising department is difficult to contact and almost nonexistent. Those who do work there are uninterested in student concerns, and I am certain that this sentiment is shared by many students in the business school. Also, career services needs improving.

I thought that my overall experience at USD was incredible. The small class sizes and the ability to easily meet with teachers outside of class made the school great. It is very difficult to beat the campus, the location, and everything else that USD is.

USD is a community, especially within the business school. I know everyone within the accounting major through my classes, accounting society, or the accounting lab where I tutor.

The accounting program is especially good at preparing you to become professional and polished.

I have been incredibly pleased with the quality of education that I have received from the University of San Diego. I feel that I have become a more well-rounded and balanced individual because of the time that I have spent here.

I have throughly enjoyed my experience at USD. I have had some professors that I have loved and others that I have not enjoyed as much. I feel that the major requirements are very extensive compared to other colleges but hopefully they will pay off in the long run. I feel that the business school really pushes its students to be ethical despite some of the recent events with the Dean and I really appreciate that.

The connections you make at this school are incredible. If you are willing to put in the effort there are people willing to help in any aspect they can, and the connections available through other students are unbelievable.
