STUDENT COMMENTS

I wish I would've done more to take advantage of all the wonderful opportunities the Marquette College of Business offers to its students.

Marquette Business is a great program that has challenged me tremendously.

One professor I would like to mention is Dr. Eppli. I had him for two real estate classes. He came to Marquette and started the real estate major. His courses were difficult but I learned a lot. He is extremely energetic and can capture an audience's attention for hours. I would gladly sit in a class of his for three hours than anyone else's for 30 minutes.

Marquette University's College of Business Administration is extremely accommodating to students' individual needs. For example, on one occasion, I was blocked out of a class that I needed to take in order to graduate, so another section of the class was immediately added to the schedule. Faculty is quick to respond to students e-mails and phone calls, and professors are always willing to meet outside of class to help students. Overall, I have been very impressed by the quality of the professors (their knowledge of the subjects, their personalities, and their general compassion for students).

I had good experiences with the career services department, but my experiences with the separate business program's internship coordinator were very poor.

Marquette has an outstanding Finance and Applied Investments ciriculum. .However, we still don't get the attention of the firms we want to work for (namely Bear Stearns, Lehman Brothers, UBS, Credit Suisse). This is severely disheartening to us Midwesterners who know we deserve more attention from Wall Street. Marquette has recently started making efforts to forge stronger connections with top New York firms, but I will be graduating too soon to benefit.

I feel that Marqeutte is very well-connected in the business community and has many teachers who know people at large corporations. These relationships definitely aid in getting students great positions. In addition, many companies recruit very heavily from Marquette, such as GE Healthcare and PricewaterhouseCoopers.

I am extremely pleased with my experience with Marquette's College of Business.

The Applied Investment Management program at Marquette University is one of the best programs in the nation. It has allowed me to develop my skills in investments. Marquette University, I feel, is underrated. It has a great school spirit and has allowed each and everyone of us to grow into responsible adults and gain the skills that we need to become successful.

I feel that at Marquette doors are opened for me because of the school's recognition. I am able to interview at companies that would not normally take someone from a state college. Teamwork is greatly emphasized in class. One semester, five of the seven classes I was taking had a group project element. Group projects are very important senior year. If I were graded on my individual effort, I probably would slack off in some of my classes, but by being in a group I do not want to slack off because I do not want to hurt the team. Also, job and internship placement does not only come from the front office. The professors are focused on helping you find a job, especially Dr. Ow in IT.

As an international student, I could not have asked for a more welcoming experience and understanding environment. From the staff and teaching assistants, to the professors, to the deans and students, everyone together makes Marquette a great, great school! I strongly recommend it to my kid sister and to all my friends back home in India.

The Marquette experience is not just about developing your job skills and academic knowledge, but also about developing your individual character. I can truly say that Marquette has made me a better person.

Marquette has improved tremendously since my admission 3.5 years ago. The only problem is that students have to do a lot of their own career searching. Once a path is chosen. though, a world of opportunity is available if pursued adamantly. Alumni are incredible, and professors are willing to help as much as possible. Again though, it is up to the students to find their prospective career and seek out assistance in achieving that goal.

Marquette's school of business has done an outstanding job in preparing me for life after graduation. Thanks to Marquette, I have completed two internships and had a job offer from a Big Four accounting firm before I started my senior year.

The business school and career services work very well together to make us successful in finding internships and full-time positions.

Diversity is horrible at Marquette University. The teachers seem almost racist at times. The program was great, the education was great, but the lack of diversity made my life a living hell as an international student and it ruined my entire college experience. If I could do all this over again, I would put diversity as No. 1 on my list. In terms of diversity at Marquette University's College of Business Administration, in my opinion they deserve much lower than an F.

Marquette is truly No. 1 in providing students with ethical and moral teaching. Marquette strives to produce business leaders with a conscience, and the school succeeds in doing so. The ethical and moral teachings at Marquette are superior to those of other schools. I believe these criteria should weigh more heavily in determining the best business schools in the nation.

Every teacher here has included their real-life experiences into teaching the coursework. This teaching style allows students to see how the concepts interact with real-world experiences.

Marquette helped me to land an internship with PricewaterhouseCoopers, which has been my goal since I was a freshman.

Marquette is an outstanding medium-size university with great facilities. They are a Jesuit school with a mission and identity that is ingrained in their students. The faculty are very helpful , the students are very friendly, and it is a school where you are treated as a person and not just a number. Coming to a new and different country that is more than 10,000 miles away from home I felt very accepted and it was very easy to adapt. Overall I rate my experience as wonderful.
