STUDENT COMMENTS

I've been repeatedly told by recruiters from very successful companies that Clemson students can compete with students from any other schools and that Clemson recruits always perform very well. I think my ability to succeed and get a good job is comparable to if I had gone to schools ranked higher than Clemson.

The College of Business is greatly improving the quality of undergraduate business experience that it offers. It is quite evident that the college is making great strides to improve the education students receive. Outstanding faculty, a diverse group of development programs, and excellent advising are just a few ways that the College of Business shows that it is dedicated to improving the educational experience of its students.

The Clemson experience, excellent academic erudition, and the phenomenal university resources construct an environment that is conducive to the overall development of the individual. This encompasses both the academic and social aspects of life.

I like that we use real world problems as the basis for our projects. This semester our Nonprofit class is doing a marketing plan for the South Carolina Botanical Gardens. In 450 we are making a promotional plan for a town that needs more traffic, and in Promotional Strategy we are making a promotional plan for a company that we choose. These help with our problem-solving skills for the real world because we get to analyze different situations and develop solutions.

I feel that I will come out and be able to be competitive in any interview process and will have no trouble obtaining a job in whatever field I choose to go into.

Clemson has been great to me. Many efforts are currently being made to improve the undergraduate experience, and I am optimistic about the future of our program.

It has been a great experience!

Since I have been at Clemson I have enjoyed greatly my time here. I think that you can definitely see the school moving forward. There is no doubt in my mind that Clemson University will continue to gain a high reputation in academics.

The College of Business at Clemson is beginning a radical reformation, and significant efforts to improve the quality of education and professional development of students have been made. A stronger connection to alumni and recruiters, along with new professional development seminars for students, are definitely improving the ability of students to prepare for life after college. As long as students are motivated to succeed, Clemson provides every tool necessary for their success.

Clemson University has an outstanding business college, especially for accounting students. I am very pleased with the progress the business college has made in the last three years, and I expect it to keep getting better. The faculty is knowledgeable and helpful, the students are friendly, and the overall experience is excellent.

The Career Center for the entire university is very good at finding companies to interview on campus and to participate in the career fairs. Within the first month of school I had two interviews with very strong companies, and was offered a full-time position with one of them. I plan on furthering my business education with an MBA, and my heart will always be with Clemson.

Job placement is improving, still some work needed.

Required business ethics course was a valuable learning experience. The business department also places emphasis on professional writing and encourages students to read The Wall Street Journal every day. This newspaper is given to business students free of charge.

Out of high school, I did not apply to any business programs because I was originally planning on majoring in engineering. However, I changed my mind before my freshman year and at orientation began the process of applying to Clemson's College of Business & Behavioral Science. It turned out for the best, as I have been thoroughly impressed with Clemson's program. On top of and including academics, the atmosphere here at Clemson is simply unlike anything else I ever could have imagined when I applied.

The business program at Clemson University offers numerous benefits but most important it provides students with the resources both in and outside the classroom to succeed in future careers.

Clemson's College of Business a& Behavioral Sciences offers a unique, personal environment that fosters student-professor interactions both in the classroom and outside of it. There are a multitude of opportunities for students to engage themselves outside of class: advisory boards, honors fraternities, investment clubs, and many more.

I am absolutely glad I chose to attend Clemson's business school. I have learned so many priceless things during my time here, and I know I will take so much of Clemson with me to my job.

Clemson University and the business program provide copious opportunities for improving interviewing techniques, résumé writing, and job hunting strategies. Once a semester, the university holds a career fair where employers from all over the region and sometimes the country are on campus to meet, network, interview, and often hire Clemson students. It is up to the students to attend such events and fully take advantage of all that Clemson and its business program has to offer.

The courses I took at Clemson University were very diverse and covered a wide array of topics. I was able to take classes ranging from ethics within globalization to nonprofit and public management—courses not normally taught in undergraduate business programs. I had a wonderful relationship with my professors, who encouraged me to study and pursue my area of interest in Nonprofit Management. I think that the business program at Clemson really makes an attempt to appeal to the extremely diverse career goals and aspirations of the entire college and provide students with coursework and real life experiences accordingly.

Clemson has outstanding relationships with some of the best banks and corporate finance firms in the area. We are fortunate to have a partnership with BMW, Microsoft, and other international firms in the Clemson University International Center for Automotive Research (CU-ICAR). The Career Center & Horizons Program sponsored by the College of Business & Behavioral Science has offerings to supplement those of the Finance Dept. Clemson is not yet nationally recognized for its business college, but the Finance Dept. is outstanding, and the university is recognizing the talent we have and is making us a priority.
