STUDENT COMMENTS

If students are looking for positions in Boston, the career services office is outstanding. Unfortunately, I was interested in moving back to Philadelphia after graduation, and career services was of little help to me. Their advice was for me to simply e-mail my own résumé to the HR department of various companies. I received no responses.

Bentley continues to develop as a school with its new library, gym, dorms. Its focus on integrating technology within business practices has made it a premier academic institution. The college is on the rise. The addition of PhD programs and the possibility of making it a full-fledged university in the near future makes Bentley a solid business school.

Preparation for accounting and finance majors is superior to that in other majors. I feel that I've gotten what I've wanted out of the experience.

Bentley stresses teamwork more than any other college I've ever heard of. Literally almost every class requires team projects, and every major class requires team projects. I think that in and of itself gives more real world preparation than anything else.

The school was very good about encouraging students to apply for jobs and offered help in preparing for interviews, but was less helpful with students looking for graduate programs. They were very enthusiastic about their own progrmas, but did not offer any guidance regarding other schools.

Endless resources at career services make the daunting task of looking for a job seem easy.

My experience at Bentley College exceeded my expectations. I honestly believe that the technological resources, the strong business-focused academic programs, and the career and networking opportunities available makes Bentley College one of the most unique schools in the nation.

School caters to accounting/finance majors, which I guess makes sense, as that is what they're known for. However, it is more difficult being a communications/info design major to find solid job opportunities.

The career services efforts at Bentley are exceptional. The only problem that we have is that there is no opportunity to break into the big businesses in the marketing field. Specifically, we are in need of more chances in the brand marketing field. Most companies are solely looking at Ivy League schools, but Bentley's program is at a level where these businesses would benefit from the graduates' experience.

Changed my personality into a solid and mature individual.

Bentley boasts that they have a high level of job placement after graduation and always have recruiters on campus to help students obtained employment. However, I feel these efforts are focused towards accounting and finance majors, and there are usually far fewer marketing and IDCC recruiters on campus.

A lot of very prestigious firms are beginning to recruit at Bentley.

Since Bentley College has historically been more focused on accounting and finance majors, I feel that marketing has been set aside a little. There are many more career fairs and programs for accounting or finance majors and fewer opportunities for marketing majors. However, there are still sufficent resources available for those marketing students who seek them out.

I have truly enjoyed my experience at Bentley College, and the only aspect that I wish I could change is some of the useless required courses. Bentley should allow us to take a more tailored schedule in order to let us get as much out of our education as possible for our individual needs.

The effort the school makes towards finding internships and full-time jobs is amazing. I had several Big Four offers as a junior for an internship. There are also mock interviews and a résumé critique program online through the school. Students can upload their résumé online through the school's program and be invited for numerous job and internship interviews.

We are not a suitcase school. Students love living here and there are plenty of activities offered every week along with clubs. We are right outside the city of Boston. It is said we have the resources of a large university with the feel of a small college. This is why I came here, and it was certainly proved to me.

The two most beneficial experiences were: an internship abroad in Ireland for two months through a Bentley program and a marketing project course working with Microsoft on product development.

Bentley is a hidden gem. It is quickly gaining recognition in the business world and a diploma from this school is worth more every year.

Bentley was the only business school I applied to. The rest were all engineering schools. It took me some time, but being here has convinced me that I made the correct choice. Business can be just as challenging and interesting as any engineering problem. The experience I've had here has changed the direction of my career, but has also fueled my ambitions. Bentley can bring out the business in anybody.

My experience in my undergrad program was great. The teaching qualities, access to computer labs, libraries, and other facilities greatly assisted me in all my school assignments. I really enjoyed my undergrad program.
