2005 GRADUATE COMMENTS

My experience at Vanderbilt was a perfect fit. I am satisfied with the breadth and depth of the program, particularly, finance and strategy.--Operations

I expected Vanderbilt's program and faculty to be of the highest quality, which they were. I expected to learn from other exceptional students and develop personally, but what I took away exceeded my expectations. After going through this program, if I had the choice of going to any other school or back to Vanderbilt, I would go to Vanderbilt.--Other

[Faculty strengths/weaknesses?] I felt the instructors were the strongest part of the program. We had instructors that worked for the IMF, the FTC, and prestigious consulting firms that would fly in just to teach our EMBA classes.--Other

[Faculty strengths/weaknesses?] Strategy and globalization were the two primary strengths. A few of the faculty I consider rather weak in terms of real-world professional experience.--Finance

I thought the experience was great. The caliber of students in the class was exceptional. I enjoyed the learning environment and believed I received the most out of my experience.--Human Resources

[Faculty strengths/weaknesses?] Professors were generally well integrated into the local business community. The course materials were generally well prepared although at times somewhat dated. There was some lack of integration between courses. Some material was taught several times when one would have been sufficient. Generally, the instructors were respectful and provided opportunity for class participation.--Operations

Owen went out of the way to accommodate everyone and everything. Great EMBA staff! Our class of 49 consisted of some of the best people I have ever been associated with personally or professionally.--Marketing

This is the most rewarding experience of my life, short of my marriage and children. It has brought skills, confidence, and maturity to my professional life. I wholeheartedly recommend this caliber of MBA program for those who can afford it.--Other

The caliber of classmates was exceptional and the format of learning took advantage of this strength. I have no significant changes that I can suggest.--Other

[Improvements?] Overall, a more consistent use of the Internet and a higher degree of synergy between related classes would have improved the program.--Operations

[Faculty strengths/weaknesses?] Their strengths were their experience, ability, and willingness to teach, and [their] accessibility. The one weakness, in my opinion, was that there were unrealized opportunities to draw on synergies between classes.--Operations
