HISTORICAL EMBA DATA

BEHIND THE RANKINGS:

To better gauge student sentiment over the years, BusinessWeek tracked the answers given by students at each of our Top 25 Executive MBA programs to key questions in our 2001, 2003, and 2005 surveys. Falling four spots down the rankings to No. 12, Texas-Austin outperformed the averages for all surveyed schools on seven questions, including two measures of teaching quality -- one on the caliber of classmates, and one on the school's handling of logistics. It made modest progress on some measures since 2001, including overall student satisfaction. And it continues to have the hardest working students of any program in the top 25--logging nearly four hours more study time each week than its next closest competitor, IESE Business School, and 10 hours more than the average for all surveyed schools.
