CAREERS

The B-school offers EMBA students access to its career services office? Yes

The B-school allows its EMBA students to interview on campus with corporate recruiters targeting executives for full-time jobs? No
School policy:We have not had on-campus recruiters express interest in interviewing or hiring EMBA graduates through their recruiting programs. However, we would be open to exploring this option if interest were expressed.


ALUMNI AFFAIRS

The B-school has awarded 10,253 executive MBA degrees, and n/a MBA degrees since its founding. It has 10,029 living MBA alumni, and 28 MBA clubs throughout 20 countries, where B-school alums can participate in school activities and alumni events.

80 EMBAs will graduate in 2005, compared to 59 EMBAs that graduated in 2000.

During the past academic year, 8% of alumni gave to the school's fundraising efforts. They gave a median gift of U.S. $100, and a mean gift of U.S. $343.

The school has not received a gift in excess of U.S. $10 million since June 2003.

The B-school endowment is U.S. $141,831,992


PROGRAM CHANGES

Significant changes since 2003:
Cox EMBAs traveled to Cuba this year, offering students a chance to compare and contrast the political and economic climates of two communist countries, as they class will travel to China in March 2006.


ADDITIONAL SCHOOL COMMENTS

To meet the growing demand of the Executive MBA program, SMU Cox opened this fall the James M. Collins Executive Education Center, a state-of-the-art teaching and conference facility. The 67,000-square-foot building enables SMU Cox to expand its programs, enriching the educational experience for Executive MBA students. The Collins Center is the home for our internationally renowned EMBA, PMBA, and executive development programs.
