2005 GRADUATE COMMENTS
Rutgers has excellent faculty that create an environment where everyone can participate in class debates and discussions. In particular, the program was good in finance and marketing courses.--Other
The value I gained far surpassed the tuition I paid. The professors were academically talented but real-world focused. The administration took great care to provide a stimulating environment that encompassed the interests of a variety of people.--Operations
[Faculty strengths/weaknesses?] The program could have utilized guest speakers from local businesses to further enforce the lecture material by introducing candid commentary from people faced with the challenges of running a company. The professors did a good job of using this tool in the final semester of the program, but there was virtually none of it in the first three semesters.--Other
[Changes to program?] Although we did hold a few mixers, I think it would have been nice to interact even more with the other business programs at Rutgers. Networking, as I've learned in this program, can be a great tool in achieving success in life. It would be nice if our programs were more integrated and collaborative.--Finance
[Improvements?] Building relationships with Wall Street recruiters would give finance-oriented students the chance to sell themselves to some of the big firms.--Other
The Rutgers EMBA program is the answer for those who are looking for a top-notch educational and networking experience at a competitive price. Instructors are carefully selected for this program and when the connection just isn't there, adjustments are made. The teamwork and interaction between colleagues is a breeding ground for real-time experiences that don't appear in any textbook or lecture notes. The two-week trip abroad highlights the importance of international business. Our class visited London, Germany, and Poland just a few weeks after Poland joined the EU. We met with business executives and government officals in each country and heard first-hand about their challenges.--Manufacturing
