2005 GRADUATE COMMENTS
Getting my Executive MBA has been one of the best experiences of my life. Not only have I learned important strategic and management concepts, but I have developed a network of contacts across the country.--Strategy
The team-based learning approach, in my opinion, provides the best learning experience for experienced managers and executives. I learned, by far, more from my teammates than from the lectures I attended. The ability to share real-world experience about a topic brings an academic discussion to life.--Other
[Faculty strengths/weaknesses?] The professors were all experts in their fields. They had no trouble drawing on their own knowledge, as well as that of the students. I really enjoyed the class discussions. However, I wanted to find out more about our professors' own experiences in their field and what lessons they learned.--Accounting
The instructors were second to none. They were able to relate their subject matter to the current business environment and relate theory to practice.--Finance
[Improvements?] The classes should be shorter; the three-and-a-half-hour class format and compressed schedule detracted from learning. At certain points in the program, it was clear that few students had prepared for class and weren't adding to the program due to fatigue or overload.--Other
[Improvements?] Additional learning materials, such as videos or interviews regarding current affairs, would have added to an already excellent program.--Operations
I feel that a greater percentage of students are using the EMBA as a jumping off point to other organizations or career paths than in the past. Improving the networking and career service aspects of the program would have benefited many in the program.--Operations
Queens has put together an excellent program that evolves every day with the changing needs of business leaders and organizational requirements. Its capacity to sustain the program's quality will keep it ahead of other MBA programs.--Other
