2005 GRADUATE COMMENTS
The Fisher EMBA provided an excellent balance between the faculty and students. Many of the faculty were department chairs or nationally recognized professors. The students came from diverse backgrounds, which enhanced the learning experience by demonstrating the various ways people attack problems.--Other
[Faculty strengths/weaknesses?] As this was an EMBA, I thought the instructors' ability to reach beyond theory and incorporate our real-world experience was a clear strength. Also, they were sure to bring forth and teach all the necessary theory to ensure our success as executives.--Strategy
[Faculty strengths/weaknesses?] The vast majority were leading-edge instructors and deans of their departments. Many instructors were also outside consultants, which made their contributions powerful. Only one instructor needed to be upgraded. Instructors made themselves available for meetings after class.--Strategy
[Improvements?] I would have liked to see better inclusion of topics in international business. What we got was great, but there should have been more time devoted to these topics.--Other
[Improvements?] I wish there were more discussions regarding outcomes of business experiments - what was tried and what worked. More interaction with CEOs regarding real scenarios would have provided that.--Strategy
I would have liked to interview with a few companies as we approached graduation. The career search process that the school offered really seemed geared toward undergraduates. I really thought there would be more recruiting opportunities for us.--Strategy
The Fisher College of Business offered an outstanding 18-month experience. I immediately saw opportunities to incorporate classroom learning into my daily business life. As I grow in my career, I am certain that I will draw upon the Fisher experience time and time again.--Other
