HISTORICAL EMBA DATA

BEHIND THE RANKINGS:

To better gauge student sentiment over the years, BusinessWeek tracked the answers given by students at each of our Top 25 Executive MBA programs to key questions in our 2001, 2003, and 2005 surveys. An unranked school in 2003, IESE bounded into the rankings at No. 15 this year by scoring well above average on 10 of the 11 questions compared to all surveyed students. The only exception: fewer IESE students said they believed their degrees were very important to their career advancement. Since BusinessWeek did not survey IESE students in 2001, the only historical data available is from the 2003. In the two years since, the program has made remarkable progress, registering double-digit gains on eight questions. General student satisfaction has nearly doubled, and students have added nearly nine extra hours of class work a week to their 2003 average.
