2005 GRADUATE COMMENTS
My aim was to join one of the best three programs in Europe: London Business School, INSEAD, or IESE. I think IESE offers the most balanced program - not as finance oriented as London Business School and more pragmatic than INSEAD.--Strategy
IESE has a vast alumni network in Spain, and it's growing in Europe. The Global Executive MBA program is taught by faculty heads. The peer group (and their diverse backgrounds) adds significantly to class debate and the entire learning process. The part-time nature of the course, coupled with the support and technological infrastructure, provides a strong and challenging learning environment.--Other
[Faculty strengths/weaknesses?] The program offers a good holistic approach. The courses were well integrated in terms of content and relevance. The teaching was generally excellent. The only weakness is that the faculty is predominantly Spanish or Anglo-Saxon. There were no Asian faculty, despite the China module.--Operations
[Faculty strengths/weaknesses?] My professors were experienced business professionals who were able to directly connect the academic with real-life business situations.--Other
[Faculty strengths/weaknesses?] The quality of the teaching performance was high. However, sometimes the professors were too focused on the European environment.--Operations
[Changes to program?] Developing better communication was not a subject that got much attention. In today's corporate life, no matter how well you understand issues, what's most important is how effectively you project your points. Communications and presentation skills need to have higher weight in the program.--Finance
[Improvements?] I wish the administration would provide campus accommodation while we work in modules full time at the university.--Finance
This was a great program. Seven modules of two weeks each allowed me to combine work with school and apply the lessons directly in the work environment.--Supply Chain
