BEHIND THE RANKINGS:

To better gauge student sentiment over the years, BusinessWeek tracked the answers given by students at each of our Top 25 Executive MBA programs to key questions in our 2001, 2003, and 2005 surveys. At No. 25-ranked LBS, 2005 was a year of modest gains and major setbacks, with four measures of teaching quality underperforming the averages for all surveyed schools. Since 2001, LBS made progress in about half the measures listed below, including program organization and overall student satisfaction. But the percentage of students who say their classmates greatly enhanced the learning process has slipped, and more students who want access to career services are doing without.

1. Percentage of grads who said their EMBA experience exceeded their expectations of what a good program should be:
