2005 GRADUATE COMMENTS
Besides being highly ranked and recognized, the Krannert EMBA program is well structured to fit in with the continued requirements of the workplace.--Operations
The quality of the faculty was high. The format and structure of the program was effective. The six pre-planned in-residence sessions made it easy to schedule my absences from work.--Operations
The Krannert EMBA program at Purdue offered me a comprehensive business experience that was heavily quantitative in nature. The program's strengths in finance, operations, and statistics were important for my manufacturing management career path.--Manufacturing
Most of the professors were quite good. Some of them were really outstanding - true experts in their fields who were more adept at drawing on the expertise of the class participants.--Other
[Improvements?] Some case studies were simply outdated. Current material, such as dealing with outsourcing and doing business with Asia, would have been more pertinent.--Supply Chain
[Improvements?] I think that there should be more focus on managing people. While many in our group sneered at that prospect, many of them didn't have a good feel of how to manage, or even work well, with others. While some people skills come with experience, much of it can be learned. The key for most of us, as good managers, is being able to influence the people around us.--Other
They really take care of you at Purdue. The meals were almost always provided right on site.--Strategy
[Suggestions?] I wish there were more job placement resources. We also needed more real-world cases studies.--Operations
The international student body profoundly enriched the experience. The international trip during the last semester is an experience I will not forget. The intense yet flexible nature of the Krannert program allowed me to continue my career and grow as a professional simultaneously. I have tremendous respect for the faculty and staff at Purdue. I still keep in contact with them and keep current with their work.--Manufacturing
