HISTORICAL EMBA DATA

BEHIND THE RANKINGS:

To better gauge student sentiment over the years, BusinessWeek tracked the answers given by students at each of our Top 25 Executive MBA programs to key questions in our 2001, 2003, and 2005 surveys. As expected, the No. 1-ranked program got there for a reason: on almost every question, Kellogg scored well above the average for all surveyed programs as a group in 2005. The only exception was the number of hours devoted to class work, where Kellogg fared only modestly better than the rest. Over the four-year period, Kellogg improved on nine of the 11 measures. One of the biggest gains was in the percentage of students who described the program as "very responsive" on logistical matters. Apparently at Kellogg, when students say "jump," program administrators ask, "how high?"
