2005 GRADUATE COMMENTS

The program offered me the right balance between academic and practical issues. Furthermore, the average age was higher than other Executive MBA programs, while the background was more industrial than consultancy/banking. Also, the participants were international.--Finance,br>
IMD's international focus fits my focus for current as well as future working field expectations. The school provides a well-established concept to bring its "learn how to learn" mindset into every participant. Its method to use the company as the learning laboratory connects the theory with the real world and makes the learning really useful for the future also. Talking to people who did other MBA studies, you realize a difference.--Finance

[Faculty strengths/weaknesses?] Strengths: great methodology and good understanding of their own role in the context of teaching. Professors were able to integrate practical aspects into every topic, and some of the instructors are also business persons in real life and have a good expertise and high level of experience. Weaknesses: time to really focus on the individual person in class was neglected.--Finance

[Faculty strengths/weaknesses?] Very much into application of ideas, into practically making a difference with the knowledge (and themselves with considerable real-world experience), and sustainably gathering new knowledge.--Operations

[Improvements?] More high profile speakers (CEOs etc.)--Finance

I was fired one month before the completion of my degree because top management and I could not agree on the direction of the company. I have now started my own business based on EMBA learning and the confidence I gained and have become happier and wealthier through this route. It would not have happened without the EMBA from IMD.--Strategy

The program provided by IMD was an incredible experience for me. It was 100% aligned to what my objectives have been at my company, and it not only helped the company, but it also shaped me further in regards to personal/leadership behaviors. The program will enable me to reach out for the next challenge.--Finance
