HISTORICAL EMBA DATA

BEHIND THE RANKINGS:

To better gauge student sentiment over the years, BusinessWeek tracked the answers given by students at each of our Top 25 Executive MBA programs to key questions in our 2001, 2003, and 2005 surveys. Compared to the averages for all surveyed programs, No. 3-ranked Chicago fared extremely well on teaching quality and the caliber of classmates. But the program scored well below average on several questions, including the importance of the program to students' career development and hours per week spent on class work. Since 2001, Chicago lost ground on nearly half these measures, one reason, perhaps, that it surrendered the No. 2 spot to Wharton this year.
