CLASS OF 2004 GRADUATE COMMENTS

[Recommend program to friends/colleagues?] Texas A&M has invested considerable time, money, and effort into building a sound and well-rounded business school. My classmates were impressive and the small class facilitated an atmosphere where everyone's opinions and ideas contributed to the learning environment. Incredibly friendly classmates and professors helped ease the heavy workload and helped me establish friendships for life.--Marketing

TAMU has a good program, and the cost of living in College Station makes TAMU an even more attractive option. I would recommend it to friends/colleagues who were seeking a good education but would not mind a small program in a small town.--Operations

[Recommend program to friends/colleagues?] Absolutely -- Texas A&M is a wonderful cultural experience for a Northeastern born student. It is a quiet town with a focus on family values. Additionally, it is a wonderful view of Middle America -- customers of all major U.S. and international companies.--Nonprofit

[Recommend program to friends/colleagues?] The program is well designed and allows for an excellent education at a very competitive price. Networking opportunities are abundant and the faculty are willing to help in both a classroom setting as well as professionally.--Marketing

[Recommend program to friends/colleagues?] The quality of the students as well as the unique 15-month program make this an excellent choice.--Consulting

[Did consulting project enhance learning?] The project was for an entrepreneur. We consulted on a start-up idea and created a business plan. I learned a good deal about how to approach a start-up venture and what to consider for any small business.--Finance

The school consulting project was one of the best opportunities in the program. We were able to put all our new skills to use for a real company and solve a real problem. All business schools should require this type of learning.--Nonprofit

The consulting project helped me to manage fellow classmates because of my strong background in this particular type of consulting. Though I did not learn much from the project itself, I did from the interaction with my fellow students and the client.--Entrepreneurship

We worked on more than a couple of consulting projects through the Mays Business School MBA course. Everything about the projects was real -- real problem, real people, real deliverables, and real deadlines. The experience was outstanding and rewarding.--Operations

[Did consulting project enhance learning?] It exposed me to a different industry and a great company that treated my group like professionals and not students.--Marketing

[Did consulting project enhance learning?] It made me realize the different facets of a start-up, the research, and the management's involvement in a successful venture. It taught me the importance of planning, looking ahead, and being ready for the unexpected. It made me more thorough in my preparation.--Finance

I began working in January after completing the 15-month MBA program at Mays (Texas A&M), and I could not be more pleased with the quality of program. Mays was not the highest-ranked program I was accepted to, but it offered the most for my money (no debt). In addition, friends at two higher-ranked schools still do not have jobs and I received several offers through the placement office at Mays.--Consulting

I believe the MBA program at Texas A&M is a great investment. I'm an international student from Nicaragua, and the school is well known everywhere I go. The alumni network is huge. Also, the business school has invested significant amounts of resources to hire top faculty, in infrastructure, and in choosing the students it admits into the program.--Finance
