CLASS OF 2004 GRADUATE COMMENTS

[Recommend program to friends/colleagues?] The program is very dynamic and moving in the right direction. There are many opportunities for students to be an integral part of this change. These opportunities are much more valuable than simply joining or leading a club.--Marketing

[Recommend program to friends/colleagues?] There are nice, nice people. It's a great place to raise a family and go to school. Fellow students are really supportive and smart. I loved it. Of course, the full scholarship was unbeatable.--Venture Capital/Private Equity

[Recommend program to friends/colleagues?] A number of factors exist when determining "program fit." Therefore, I can not say that I would definitely recommend Notre Dame. One discourging factor is location. While Notre Dame is close to Chicago, its location is limited for both personal and career reasons.--Consulting

[Recommend program to friends/colleagues?] The doors that are opened are something that could not be substituted by anything else. Though there is still a ton of work related to career development, many glass ceilings were removed.--Consulting

[Recommend program to friends/colleagues?] The Notre Dame family is like none other. People here are looking to support you and help you grow as you learn. The cost of living is very low and the finance faculty is some of the best in the country. Lastly, this is a small community where you can get the individual attention from any professor you need.--Consulting

I worked with a Fortune 500 company for a semester. Working on a real project helped bring home the concepts learned in the academic setting.--Finance

In our corporate strategy class, we assisted a local restaurant. I learned a great deal in terms of developing a strategy based on external and internal variables. I also enhanced my creativity in regard to how to improve process effeciencies and advertising effectiveness. Finally, I gained a strong sense of satisfaction from helping local businesswoman to improve sales and long-term vision.--Finance

We helped a boutique in Chicago that was three years old and run by someone in our age group. Despite the product being quite "feminine," the entrepreneurial aspects were quite interesting and aligned well with my interests.--Nonprofit

As part of the core course Corporate Strategy, each student is involved in an actual consulting project with an existing company during the last semester of the MBA program. This project allowed me to apply my complete academic knowledge amassed through the MBA experience. This experience demanded real-life application of some of the theoretical models and tools we had studied.--Marketing

The one-year program at Notre Dame was excellent. I would recommend it to anyone who is planning to come here. The alumni database is also useful for finding the job that you want. It is extremely easy to contact alumni, and they are more than willing to help. This was a great experience that I will never forget and it completely changed my life in that it made me a better thinker. I am now set to be a leader at a large company in the future.--Finance

The ND B-school is a relatively new entrant in business education. It is coming up fast, in terms of quality of education and overall student life experience. As soon as it completely leverages the Notre Dame community's resources, it should definitely be one of the best programs to go to. The administration and faculty are still trying to adjust from the traditional ND philosophy of slow change to the fast changing world of business education. But I believe those are just the growing pains of any good B-school.--Marketing

It was the first real-life chance to interact with a company, evaluate its strengths and weaknesses, and work to build a detailed action plan to improve performance. It was a terrific learning experience for me.--Marketing
