CLASS OF 2004 GRADUATE COMMENTS
[Recommend program to friends/colleagues?] This program was extremely rigorous, very challenging, and exceptionally educational. I came to school just to get a good name on my résumé and for the degree, but in the process I learned way more about business than I ever thought possible.--Marketing
[Recommend program to friends/colleagues?] The program provided the educational skill sets necessary to make intelligent and effective decisions in all functional areas (quantitative methods, finance, operations, etc.). The knowledge, friends, and outlook that I have gained since attending Purdue will undoubtedly help me both professionally and personally throughout my life.--Operations
[Recommend program to friends/colleagues?] If it fit their interests, I would encourage them to go to Purdue. It is a very quantitative-based program, and has a strong focus on operations and finance, with a growing presence in entrepreneurism. The structure of the courses is also good.--Operations
[Recommend program to friends/colleagues?] I know others at top-15 business schools, and we exchange stories often. Purdue is, in my opinion (and some of theirs too), better than schools in the top 15 with regard to learning experience and academic rigor.--Finance
[Did consulting project enhance learning?] I had a great experience analyzing the company's international logistics issues and developing a spreadhseet model and analysis to address its needs.--Operations
I had the opportunity to conduct analysis and make strategic recomendations for Whirlpool. The analysis drew on a lot of the skills that I had learned in the program and allowed me to apply them in a real-world scenario.--Marketing
I had nine years of engineering experience, a 680 GMAT, but a 2.3 undergrad GPA. My GPA prevented me from getting accepted into a top-five school. However, Purdue gave me an excellent education and the oppurtunity to interview at top companies.--Operations
Purdue provided me with the opportunity to work closely with Ph.D. students to pursue commercialization of their research (IRL/TTI Programs). The program admits about 10 MBA students per year, who are among the top students in the class. The additional education promised through this program, as it links practical entrepreneurship experience to course material, was unmatched by any higher-ranked institution. The decision to attend Purdue was based largely on this program, but the quality of education provided to diligent students was outstanding. I'm certain I leave this program with more skills, particularly analytical skills, than I would have obtained at any of the other programs I was admitted to.--Marketing
I had an incredible experience at Krannert. I learned a tremendous amount, made a great group of friends, and landed the job and career that I wanted. I would recommend this program to anyone.--Marketing
The Krannert School of Management delivers a first-rate graduate business education without attitude, frills, or exhorbitant costs. I would encourage friends with interests in human resources, finance, or operations to consider this wonderful program.--Marketing
Working on an e-business consulting project for Accenture Innovation Labs provided me with the chance to test the consulting waters. Dealing with ambiguity, team coordination, and time sheets proved daunting and worthwhile.--Marketing
