CLASS OF 2004 GRADUATE COMMENTS
Four main factors that I thought were outstanding at Kellogg: 1.) I met great people, made several good friends, and really improved my network. 2.) I really enjoyed the coursework and learned a lot more than I thought I would. 3.) I worked hard, but also had a great time for two years. 4.) I had access to good job opportunities, and I'm doing exactly what I wanted to do coming in.--Consulting
Kellogg exceeded my expectations. The costs and lost salary will undoubtedly be made up for hundreds of times over by the time I retire. The most valuable parts of the program were all of the people I met and the way that the curriculum changed the way I think about so many aspects of my life, not just my career.--Marketing
I thought Kellogg was a phenomenal experience, not only in the caliber of the faculty but also the students. There is a diverse mix of students here, which brings a unique flavor to the classroom setting. It is educational in that sense because you were exposed to multiple viewpoints, which were colored by personal and professional experiences. In addition, Kellogg offers some exceptional programs for its students, such as GIM, Kellogg Corps, KAOS, etc. Finally, the culture of the school is friendly and non-competitive, which makes for an enjoyable two years.--Marketing
I worked with a number of firms over the two years: Johnson Controls, Motorola, NTT DoComo (Japan). Everytime we mentioned Kellogg, doors opened, and we were given open access.--Consulting
I did a Tech Marketing project for Microsoft. The insights I gained from that experience not only gave me a feel for what marketing in a high-tech environment would be like, but also helped me form relationships at that firm that helped me succeed in my internship and secure a full-time offer.--Marketing
Kellogg is a school where the whole is truly greater than the sum of its parts. That is not to say that the parts are inferior, as there are many outstanding professors, students, and administrators. But the culture and esprit de corps of the place ties it all together magnificently and creates a truly memorable experience. Also, the students contribute enormously to how the school is run. If ever there was an asylum that is run by the inmates, it is Kellogg!--Consulting
Kellogg is the school for applicants looking for a well-rounded education. As excellent as the professors are, I believe I learned as much from my outstanding peers.--Marketing
Living in Evanston was great and safe. Plus, having a world-class city like Chicago 20 minutes away was another bonus!--Consulting
I was switching from a career in engineering to a career in nonprofits. Consulting projects through B-school classes provided me with much needed exposure to nonprofit organizations and added credibility to my resume.--Consulting
While I was not 100% sure about attending Kellogg when making my busines-school decision, I found the past two years to be an incredible experience for me that exceeded my expectations on many dimensions. The combination of strong academics and the school's culture makes it unique from other top programs.--Not available
We performed a market-research study for a sports retailer. I tend to learn by doing, so the study certainly enhanced my experience.--Consulting
As part of a class on how to write a business plan, I was part of a team that wrote a business plan for a small company that was trying to grow/expand. It provided the best, concrete application of the things discussed in class and involved integrating several disciplines (finance, marketing, strategy).--Marketing
I have encouraged my friends to enroll at Kellogg -- two are starting classes there this fall. It's not just a great educational experience, it's a great overall experience.--Marketing
My time at Kellogg was truly outstanding. While back at school, I was introduced to amazing people, broadened my perspectives on both business and the world, and had a great time doing it. I wish that some of the school's leadership programs were better developed, but I have a hard time envisioning a program that could have been run better than Kellogg.--Consulting
Kellogg is truly one of a kind. It possesses many of the intangibles that are hard to garner in a survey. From the moment I stepped foot on campus, there was a culture that consumed me and it drove my learning for the next two years. Kellogg is a place that will always welcome me back, and I will always be happy to do whatever I can to return the favor that it has given me.--Consulting
