CLASS OF 2004 GRADUATE COMMENTS
[Recommend program to friends/colleagues?] The small, close setting Haas created allows you to truly connect with classmates and faculty. The business executives and employees that attended functions, events, and lectures exceeded my expectations. Haas created an atmosphere that truly helped individuals secure positions for summer and full-time opportunities.--Marketing
[Recommend program to friends/colleagues?] The combination of top-notch faculty, high-caliber classmates, and an outstanding reputation for excellence among high-tech recruiters made Haas the perfect place for my career aspirations. If I had the decision to make over again, I wouldn't think to attend any other business school.--Finance
[Recommend program to friends/colleagues?] The people at Haas are not only bright, but also the most supportive and collaborative people with whom I have ever worked. It has been an intellectually and personally rewarding experience to study here, and I will happily leave the program with a network of outstanding colleagues and friends.--Investment Banking
[Recommend program to friends/colleagues?] The small program allows for students to create real bonds and connections. The student-run environment cannot be beaten. Professors and faculty are extremely responsive to the students' needs. Finally, the location and social life are just incredible.--Marketing
[Recommend program to friends/colleagues?] Berkeley has such an array of strengths and a diversity of students, faculty, and alumni that almost any career path can be strenghtened during the two-year program.--Not Available
[Recommend program to friends/colleagues?] I had a great experience in terms of education and personal development. The academics are fairly rigorous, fellow students are competitive yet collaborative. The environment at UC Berkeley is very conducive to study yet there are plenty of social and recreational activities in the Bay Area as well as cutting-edge business practictioners in San Francisco and Silicon Valley. In short, the Berkeley MBA offers it all -- world-class business education at a world-class educational establishment, great teachers and students and a great environment in which to study and play.--Finance
[Did consulting project enhance learning?] The opportunity to work on real-world problems with three classmates from diverse backgrounds yielded results that would not have been achievable in either a purely academic or industrial setting.--Finance
[Did consulting project enhance learning?] My team helped Google refine their product strategy through the group project in my advanced Marketing Research course. In just a few weeks my team was able to help Google better understand their customers, the reasons why their product was used, and how to improve the product to better meet customer needs.--Investment Banking
The project gave me insight into product design issues and constraints a company may have because of operation costs, which could hinder product performance on the store shelves.--Marketing
At Haas, I had the opportunity to do an exchange program with IESE, Barcelona, and I believe it further improved my learning experience. I found Haas-IESE combination to be the best possible because IESE is more of a global program -- because of its location, I think -- and Berkeley has a strong academic reputation and is located in an area full of opportunities.--Finance
I am very proud of Haas and the admissions office. They look beyond the raw scores and truly give individuals a chance to improve their lives in many ways by accepting them into an environment that cherishes diverse opinions and thought. Next to marriage, attending Haas was the best decision I have made in my adult life. I wish all my future decisions could be this easy and this right.--Marketing
I led a group project for a sizable existing company where we had regular access to the COO and CEO among other executives. Our work was highly regarded and incorporated into the business. It was a great experience and fantastic opportunity to apply what we learned in the classroom.--Entrepreneurship
I went to Ghana on a consulting project to perform a feasibility study on starting a pre-med major and graduate school of public health for a private university. It was a fantastic experience to be able to apply my skill set to help a developing country improve their education.--Information Technology
I entered the MBA program knowing that I wanted to change careers but unclear on what my new direction would be. The greatest success of my time at Berkeley was that through my classmates' experiences and the wealth of clubs and classes available I found my passion and was very well trained for my new career.--Nonprofit
