CLASS OF 2004 GRADUATE COMMENTS

[Recommend program to friends/colleagues?] Thunderbird is unique in that it places so much emphasis on the international business and global environment. As such, all students are required to have international experience coming in to the program; consequently, the student body is hugely diverse. Refreshingly, there is very little ego, know-it-allism or arrognace at this school, since most students, especially American ones, have been humbled by their experiences living and working abroad. The curriculum provides a breadth of knowledge and skills about conducting business on a global scale, information that is much harder to extract from a traditional American MBA program.--Marketing

[Recommend program to friends/colleagues?] Though Fordham's MBA program provided valuable training with respect to basic finance skills, it simply cannot compare or compete with other New York City schools when it comes to recruiting. With the proximity of high-ranked Ivy League B-schools, Fordham business students must demonstrate exceptional qualifications just to compete for the more prestigious jobs.--Not Available

Fordham has a great marketing program and is conveniently located in New York City. I would recommend the program to anyone interested in developing a marketing career and looking to stay in New York City. Fordham also offers a good education at an affordable cost.--Marketing

Fordham caters to part-time students. If a prospective student fit such criteria, I would certanly recommend the program.--Not Available

[Did consulting project enhance learning?] It was based on a live project with GE Capital. As it was relevant to current scenarios, it helped us understand the application of financial principles in the areas of risk management.--Finance

There are very few programs offered in New York that specialize in the entertainment industry. I chose Fordham for the pure reason that I was able to switch bewteen being a full- and part-time student easily. I travel a lot for my field, and there were some semesters that I had to be part time and others I was available to take more classes. Columbia and NYU would not let me switch between full- and part-time.--Not Available

Go Rams! The Fordham University full-time experience is one filled with challenges that teach each student self-confidence, independent thinking, and creating outside-the-box ideas. The Fordham full-time program also provides students with a solid network of entrepreneur minds and big thinkers within the student body itself.--Entrepreneurship

The students came from diverse backgrounds but all shared a real enthusiasm for getting the most out of the program. The teachers were top notch and very dedicated to the growth of the students. The mix of the location (New York City) and the quality of the program would make me highly recommend Fordham B-school.--Investment Banking

[Did consulting project enhance learning?] We worked alongside executives at Standard & Poors and gained valuable knowledge in research, analysis, and presentation skills.--Investment Banking

The consulting project was especially useful for two reasons. I worked very closely with three other students for more than two months -- a valuable exercise in teamwork. In meeting with the company, I learned much about listening to what the client wanted, and how the constant refinement of that concept would drive our work efforts more than any other factor.--Finance

I had a great MBA experience overall, and I think I have made great strides on a personal as well as professional level.--Marketing
