CLASS OF 2004 GRADUATE COMMENTS
UB is certainly not the most diverse school out there. I was one of two African Americans in the full-time program, so I wouldn't be quick to urge my minority friends to enroll in this MBA program unless they were aware and capable of dealing with that fact.--Not Available
I learned more in the past two years than I learned in all of my education combined before B-school.--Not Available
The quality and quantity of companies recruiting on campus is poor for non-accounting concentrations. I would recommend the school only for accounting majors.--Finance
Working with a team on a project for an existing company in real time was a great experience, and it gave me an insight into the process that an organization has to undertake before making an investment decision.--Finance
[Recommend program to friends/colleagues?] The UB MBA program offers more bang for your buck than other business schools. Stretching investor dollars is a basic tenet of good business. UB offers an opportunity to sharpen one's business acumen without depleting one's wallet. Furthermore, as a research-based institution, the professors at UB are well-versed in their fields and well-equipped to guide students pursuing additional learning outside the classroom. Finally, the return on investment is compelling. I know I have more to offer a company in terms of skills and experience, increasing both my marketability as well as my income potential.--Marketing
[Did consulting project enhance learning?] Applying theories learned in the classroom provides experience in terms of practice and perspective that is useful for future reference.--Marketing
[Did consulting project enhance learning?] I was able to work with both intra-school organizations' as well as small companies in the Buffalo area. I made strong connections within the school and the local community.--Information Technology
