CLASS OF 2004 GRADUATE COMMENTS
I enjoyed my school's small size and class composition. With approximately one-third of the class as international students, I was exposed to many different business cultures and international ideas. I also feel the school had a very strong MIS and entrepreneurship program and given its small size, good courses in finance, marketing, etc.--Finance
I had a fantastic experience. The first year was like boot camp, but it allowed our class to bond and forced us to push ourselves as hard as we could. I was exposed to a wide variety of concepts while also developing a deeper understanding of my [concentration]. My experience was so positive that I would absolutely recommend it to my friends and colleagues. If they are ready to fully commit to advancing their careers, there is no better way than getting their MBAs at the U of A.--Marketing
[Recommend program to friends/colleagues?] It depends on what they want in an MBA program. If they would like a more community-based learning environment, then I would suggest a smaller program such as this one. If they want a cut-throat program where students are very competitive, then I would suggest they go elsewhere.--Not Available
The consulting project that I participated in seemed to be more of a "cheap labor" opportunity for the company rather than a learning opportunity for the students. The work was not especially challenging or interesting, although the company was very pleased with the work that was completed for them.--Marketing
The consulting project elevated my ability to work on team projects. Each of my teammates brought a level of experience to the group, and we acknowledged each other's strengths. It was truly a project of interdependability and helped me identify how to pick future project teammates.--Operations
The new administration shows a great deal of promise. I wish they would have been in place for my two years at B-school. The next few years will see great things from The Eller Business School. I will be an active member of the alumni association.--Operations
[Recommend program to friends/colleagues?] Tucson is a great place to be, if you happen to enjoy outdoor activities and still have time for them. Faculty and staff are great. With a small class size, the attention you get and the closeness among students and faculty are awesome.--Finance
[Recommend program to friends/colleagues?] A small program allows for an intimate learning environment, however, there is little help from the career center in finding a job.--Marketing
Anyone interested in an MBA with an MIS focus would be foolish not to consider the University of Arizona. The caliber of the faculty, the vast class selection, and the quality of the student body are all reasons I would strongly encourage peers to consider the Eller MBA program.--Information Technology
On several occasions throughout my two years in business school, we did class projects/consulting for local businesses. This allowed great exposure to key decision makers and a hands on experience to apply classroom knowledge.--Marketing
The work I did with an existing company through the B-school helped my classmates and me realize that while theory is important, it is not always relevant to all businesses outside academia. Even if the theoretical reasoning behind a problem is known does not mean that the problem can be solved using a textbook solution.--Information Technology
