Technology changes made over the past three years:
Technological improvements from the three previous years include (1) expansion of streaming instruction to include the majority of core courses in GSM's executive programs. Streaming instruction includes broadcasting TA sessions, faculty-delivered tutorials and live conference coverage to students' homes and offices via high-speed Internet connections. This live service is augmented by a video library of archived content. The School began routine internet-based delivery of TA sessions for students that could not attend classroom sessions in executive programs (2) installed permanent computers in all GSM classrooms (3) added substantial capability to its home-grown content management system, Catalyst. Notifications of all changes in syllabi are automatically emailed to all students. (4) launched a new school Intranet (5) installed a Storage Area Network with a terabyte of disk space which is shared by all of the School's servers. (6) installed wireless electronic mail (Blackberry) (7) completed covering the entire school with wireless networks (8) upgraded the network infrastructure to gigabit Ethernet (9) installed a dedicated ITM server that will provide classroom access to top tier business applications, including Great Plains Dynamics accounting software, Oracle Sales Analyzer, MapInfo, and SAP/R3 CRM software.
