CLASS OF 2002 GRADUATE COMMENTS

The SOM program far exceeded my expectations in terms of both quality of students, faculty, and experience. It is a very friendly, collaborative environment in which students and faculty help one another succeed. I feel it is not the typical program where students are only concerned with the job placement. Rather, students actually want to learn and are concerned with the quality of a job, not just money, but social responsibility as well. -- Finance

I was intellectually challenged, made many great friends, and learned volumes about managing people and projects. At times I felt overwhelmed and stressed, but the team-oriented students here at Yale were always there to lend support and perspective. Because we all worked together, I have an even greater sense of accomplishment. The Student Interest Group experience allowed me to really make a difference in the community. The Yale experience has been extremely rich and rewarding. -- Finance

Yale SOM's curriculum is top notch and it prepares students for all facets of management. By incorporating political, non-profit, global, and domestic issues, graduates are better prepared to impact and shape our future economic, political, and social interface. In addition, SOM, with its small class size, promotes collaboration and cooperation, and provides unparalleled access to top faculty and their research. -- Consulting

I came to Yale to build up my quantitative skills, and while I was able to do so in spades, I also built up other skills, learned an incredible amount, met a wonderful group of people, and had a ball. -- Consulting

The small size of the school makes a huge difference in the quality of education that one receives at Yale SOM. The focus is on learning from and with each other, rather than competing. After Yale SOM, one has access to global opportunities in the choicest career realms. -- Operations

Yale's MBA program is unique. Not only will you have the opportunity to interact very closely to faculty and students from diverse backgrounds and fields, but at the very core of Yale's program is a sense of community. It is important to be a part of a strong community in order to develop effective leadership and management skills that one can use in the future. -- Marketing

There is no other place than Yale SOM to learn new things in a highly international, student friendly, and highly cooperative environment. And the opportunity to know people due to the small class size for future networking purpose is also fabulous. Plus, the brand equity is unbeatable, especially from an international student's point of view. -- Investment Banking

The SOM learning environment is exceptionally challenging, encouraging, and warm-spirited. The balance in skills between finance, strategy, and people is excellent. They are integrated together as essentially linked, rather than separated into separate teaching faculties. -- Nonprofit

The faculty at the School of Management are simply exceptional. There is a high faculty to student ratio, and the faculty is always accessible, bringing their real world experience to the classroom. The students are bright and well rounded. I did a joint MD-MBA at Yale and the program really tailored itself to my interests in health policy. -- Dermatologist

I highly recommend the Yale SOM. It is the best investment I could have made in my career. I feel that Yale SOM created a highly cooperative environment while retaining a healthy degree of competition. Not only was the experience rewarding, I now have a stellar group of both friends and business associates. -- Consulting

The experience at SOM in terms of interaction with faculty and student body had been wonderful. It is one of the few places where learning and team-work are truely cherished. -- Finance

Yale is a VERY unique program that I felt very at home in. I hope it does not change, drastically, from what it is today. I am paying for my degree on my own and it was worth every penny. It was a great place to learn the pitfalls and best practices of management. I would highly recommend it to friends interested in the MBA. -- Consulting
