CLASS OF 2002 GRADUATE COMMENTS

The value for the money is excellent at the UW. Additionally, for people who want to live and work in the Seattle area, attending UW allows you to maintain and grow your professional network which is instrumental in finding the right position upon graduation. -- Information Technology

The UW MBA program is exceptional. Students and faculty are amazing people. And there is a wave of change taking place at the UW thanks to a vocal and active class of 2002. While there were some weaknesses in the program office and the career center, I spent the vast majority of my time enjoying learning from my professors and my peers. -- Finance

The UW MBA program creates tremendous value for students given the education level, the business connection opportunities, and the relatively low expense. UW is the outstanding Northwest B-school and one of the best on the West Coast. -- Private Client Services

I was really impressed with the UW MBA program, and would recommend it to anyone who feels that they do not need a prestigious brand name on their resume. -- Marketing

The program is intimate and flexible to allow students to seek their professional interests. The University of Washington Business School has effectively brought together participation by its leading medical, bioengineering, and computer science schools through the Center for Technology Entrepreneurship, and this provides students with the cutting edge needed. -- Entrepreneurship

The combined quality and value of the faculty, courses, business contacts, and fellow students is well worth the cost and time needed to obtain an MBA from the University of Washington. The school has a "we're in this together" mindset that promotes students to pull each other through the program. There is minimal student-to-student competition. -- Anonymous

For the price, location, and local industry, I don't think you can beat the value. There are excellent connections with many West Coast firms and start-ups. The Business Connections Center was willing to reach anywhere in the country to establish leads, including Wall Street. -- Finance

I believe that the University of Washington MBA program has much to offer the student who is searching for a solid fundamental MBA education at a reasonable price. The most compelling aspect of my experience at the UWMBA program was the immense sense of ability and preparedness I felt when I started my first day of work at an investment bank. This education at the UW was worth the investment. -- Finance

I will always encourage my friends to attend a top ten school if they are fortunately admitted. However, if they are not so lucky, the University of Washington Business School is as good as any other second-tier schools. As far as I am concerned, the program is rigorous and the faculty is competent and responsive to students. In addition, Seattle is a nice place. -- Marketing
