CLASS OF 2002 GRADUATE COMMENTS

There are a lot of great MBA programs out there, but Anderson is unique. Not only can you get an education that I firmly believe is just as good as any of its top 15 peers, but you can enjoy an incredible lifestyle in the meantime. -- Finance

I got what I feel is an outstanding education, taught in the heart of one of the world's most dynamic business environments, Los Angeles. I was shocked by the level of access I had to knowledge, opportunity, and, most importantly, capital. Anderson must have the highest student/resources ratio in the nation. -- Entrepreneurship

UCLA is a great school with a great community of people. I was actively involved in a number of extracurricular activities that helped me get to where I am now. I went into B-school wanting to change career paths into investment banking. UCLA prepared me with all the tools that I needed to get my internship and a full time job offer. -- Investment Banking

The past two years at Anderson have simply been an amazing experience. Not only have I learned a tremendous amount, but I've made friends (and contacts) that will last a lifetime. Consequently, I would highly recommend the school to my friends and colleagues that are considering returning to B-school. -- Marketing

I feel the Anderson School embodies many principles of teamwork and leadership that I personally believe in. It encourages the spirit of entrepreneurship and ownership like no other school. It encourages pro-active change management and is definitely a great breeding ground for leaders of the future. -- Operations

The personal and professional relationships I developed at Anderson combined with the opportunity live in sunny, fun, and dynamic Los Angeles made it a truly remarkable experience. As an East Coast guy, I view Anderson as the best-kept secret in the MBA world. -- Venture Capital/Private Equity

I strongly believe that the Anderson School is among the best schools in the nation. The high level of academic difficulty, the strong faculty, a lack of competitive environment, and the camaraderie among the students all far exceeded by expectations. -- Finance

Anderson is a student run community. We take great pride in this. I was immediately able to begin giving back starting from week one. This is an important part of the experience for me because it helped me learn how to lead others. -- Marketing

I found that the environment at Anderson is conducive to achievement without suffering from being overly competitive. The smartest students here are willing to help everyone and I enjoyed that luxury. I feel those that wanted to challenge themselves had the opportunity. -- Consulting

I've been extremely impressed by how entrepreneurial the school is. The experience has completely changed my mindset and transformed me from a conservative employee to a smarter risk-taking manager. Professors and visiting speakers have also been instrumental in offering feedback on business plans and marketing strategies as well as in making introductions to VCs. -- Marketing

Anderson offers one of the best return-on-investment of any nationally ranked business school due to its low tuition and high job offer rate. I would encourage my friends to attend for this reason as well as the strength of curriculum and social environment. -- Investment Banking

In my mind there is absolutely no question about the value of the education and network that I developed at Anderson. However, other programs are just as good. So it all comes down to find a good fit between candidate profiles and school characters. Anderson is very entrepreneurial in many ways and this does not fit everybody. -- Consulting

Anderson is open and accepting and enabled me to be pushed academically while still allowing me to pursue the directions of my own interest with support. I know that my friends and colleagues would grow in the same environment. -- Finance

The Anderson School exceeded my expectations of what an MBA program really is. In addition to a rigorous academic experience in the classroom, I was fortunate enough to interact outside the classroom with perhaps the brightest, most talented students from around the world. The commaraderie at Anderson is truly special. People often refer to the "Anderson culture," which is one that embraces everyone and encourages all to become better leaders both in and out of the classroom or boardroom. I can honestly say it was the best two years of my life, and I highly recommend the program to friends and colleagues. -- Marketing

I'm thrilled that I chose The Anderson School at UCLA for my MBA experience. Such a decision can be extremely important in determining the career of an individual. Fortunately I believe that I made the correct choice and the stamp of my diploma has a great amount of value. -- Entrepreneurship
