CLASS OF 2002 GRADUATE COMMENTS

The greatest strength of Thunderbird is its international management focus, therefore, if my friends were interested in international management, I would highly recommend the program. -- Marketing

Thunderbird has been a wonderful experience. It’s truly a global village. The skills of cross-cultural communication that I have learned interacting with my friends here are the most valuable. If someone is interested in International Management, T-bird is the place to be. -- Business Development

It has been such a great experience here. I have been exposed to so many different types of people and thoughts it has been truly been a unique experience. -- Finance

Thunderbird is much more than just another business school. The wonderful aspect about our school is that the learning does not end at the classroom ant the program goes above and beyond just business. With the best International Studies faculty around, and a truly diverse community, I am glad I came to my first choice. -- Investment Banking

The international component of the Thunderbird program imparts an education in itself in that new ways of doing things are learned, and strategies and networks are expanded beyond a limited domestic scope. -- Entrepreneurship

You can explore global environment on the T-bird campus. What is a critical experience at T-bird is that you will conduct team projects with multi-national students. Of course there are pros and cons: it is not easy to communicate with each other because of language and cultural differences; however, this is really a pragmatic experience, as you will work in global companies!! -- Operations

I think Thunderbird offered me a very international environment to study in. Not just the curriculum, but the student body, the faculty, and the extra-curricular activities in the school, added to the international atmosphere. -- Entrepreneurship

Thunderbird is an extremely specialized program which would not be appropriate for every student. I would recommend it without reservation to the T-bird "type", but perhaps not to those students who lack foreign language skills, and an international perspective or appreciation of world affairs as they intersect with business. -- Finance

[Do you feel you could have learned as much from a distance-learning MBA program?] Thunderbird is an excellent place to build global business skills and increase cultural awareness. It would be impossible to accomplish this in a distance-learning MBA program. -- General Management

Thunderbird stands out from other MBA programs/schools because of its unique international environment. The students, faculty, staff, and alumni represent hundreds of countries, languages, and cultures. This international aspect of the program and of the school truly enhances the learning experience, and sets Thunderbird apart from all other schools. -- Marketing

Thunderbird is an excellent place to accelerate learning with regards to conducting business in a global business environment. The diverse student body is second to none, the global Thunderbird network is phenomenal. The alums meet the first Tuesday of every month all around the world. It is a fun place to pursue an MBA. -- Marketing

Thunderbird brings some perspectives that really matter in today's world. Globalization, multinational corporation issues, and country risk are assessed in outstanding ways. On the other hand, the curriculum should be reformatted since there are too many international and communication required courses. -- Investment Banking
