TECHNOLOGY
Wireless network in main buildings: Yes
School's investment in technology over the past three years: $7,500,000
Technology changes made over the past three years:
The school improved its infrastructure, for instance by adding a Gigabit Ethernet Local Area Network, connecting every building on campus, covering 100% of all Thunderbird facilities, including 342 dormitory rooms. The Learning Infrastructure improved with My Thunderbird, a secure intranet learning portal/course management application and alumni networking system. To support learning and communications, online research databases, class discussion groups, and public discussion groups are available. A comprehensive career management section is in place to support students' (and alumni's) career management: resume preparation, job search, job application, interview scheduling, etc. Employers can use this section for online job postings and screening, and to send interview invitations for students that best fit specific job requirements. Executive Education participants also use the system to access information before their class sessions/programs to receive class assignment/reading materials in advance; and after their programs for follow up and networking with other program participants.
