CLASS OF 2002 GRADUATE COMMENTS

Syracuse's program is small and allows individual attention. The program has a lot of flexibility built in, yet it provides a solid structure. For example, I was able to do an independent study on Using Real Options for valuing risky projects. The availability of the faculty and administration for the students is outstanding. -- General Management

This program allowed most students to advance in their given career paths or to change career paths if they so desired. The program is structured for students to make the most out of what is available. The program is small enough to enable the individual student to partake in leadership activities, meeting of employers, and networking opportunities. It will have the same results in the future for incoming students due to the leadership in place here at Syracuse University School of Management. -- Accounting

Great opportunity to meet and learn from entrepreneurs and business people. You can take a variety of electives and tailor your MBA to go into any field or specialty you like. I especially liked the entrepreneurship and product development electives, very high quality courses. -- Operations

Relatively small class sizes, excellent professors who care about you achieving your goals, many opportunities to study and work with top firms abroad during the summer, a good mix of class (subject) options to select from, and a good combination of theoretical and practical (real-job projects). -- Consulting

I feel this program is especially good for non business major undergrads. The broad range of base courses helped expand my overall business knowledge. -- Operations

The program curriculum is changing, there's a new Dean, the career center is terrible, and there's going to be a new School of Management building within the next few years. I would tell anyone considering the program to wait at least until there are new facilities. -- Marketing

Syracuse's strength lies in the personal attention the program offers. It is a small program, compared to larger schools. An individual can tailor their MBA to match their interest. For example, my desire was for a program that offered a flexible curriculum. Syracuse's program allowed me to focus on new product development and corporate finance simultainously. The faculty is very concerned with student learning and make special efforts to ensure the students understood their materials. -- General Management

Syracuse University MBA has provided me with the leadership, academics, and networking opportunities necessary to allow me to excel professionally. Also, the MBA program is definitely on an upswing with the upcoming changes. We are poised to make a serious challenge to the top 50 schools. We have increased enrollment, [made] administrative changes, curriculum changes, and are posed to begin construction on a new state-of-the-art School of Management for the academic year 2005. -- Accounting

The school is very relaxed and non-competitive. Cooperation and learning is always the priority. The program has improved since I started, there are more electives to choose from and courses that are relevant to current popular business topics. The future is bright for Syracuse University. The new cirriculum format will make schedules easier and the new building for the School of Management will be spectacular. The students have had a lot of input into both changes and their ideas are part of the schools' plans. -- Operations

Great diversity; wonderful, intelligent professors; smart classmates; competitive environment -- all worth the money and time spent. -- Investment Banking
