Technology changes made over the past three years:
During the last three years, SMU Cox has undergone a classroom technology renovation. Classroom systems were standardized; DVD players were introduced into all classrooms; new teaching lecterns were custom built; projectors were replaced with new higher lumen projectors; the entire a/v infrastructure was upgraded, and touchpad interfaces were improved. The Cox Wireless network was finalized, enabling students and staff access to networking capabilities throughout the Cox School without having to hardwire their laptop computers to a wall jack, and outlets at each seat in the classrooms were added so that students could use their laptops during lectures.

The B-school has awarded 9,251 MBA degrees since its founding. It has 9,042 living MBA alumni, and 40 MBA club(s) throughout 16 countries, where B-school alums can participate in school activities and alumni events.

SMU's Cox School of Business is located in Dallas, Texas, home to hundreds of corporate headquarters. Many of the enrichment programs and activities allow students to connect with the city's leading companies and learn valuable lessons from experienced business leaders. The Associate Board Executive Mentoring Program allows students to select an executive mentor who provides career advice, industry insight, and business contacts, all to assist and advance the student's career goals. The American Airlines Global Leadership Program is a mandatory, rigorous course of study for all first-year, full-time MBAs. After six months of preparation, the class travels to Asia, Europe, or Latin America for two weeks to study international business practices. The Business Leadership Center is a one of a kind MBA program, offering more than 40 seminars taught by business practitioners and executives to master communications and leadership skills essential to career success. The Cox Distinguished MBA Scholars program offers as many as ten full-tuition MBA scholarships per year to the most outstanding students admitted to the full-time MBA program.
