CLASS OF 2002 GRADUATE COMMENTS

The finance faculty has been great. The school is very close to Wall Street, and has a good reputation with companies outside the Tri-state area. It is a public school so the tuition is low and the studies are worth the money being spent. -- Finance

A great learning experience with quality courses and professors. I feel that any individual would benefit greatly from going through the program. -- Finance

One cannot underestimate the value of an education at Rutgers. The diversity greatly enhances the classroom experience, and leads one to work effectively in a global marketplace. Further, this experience is very affordable at Rutgers. -- Law

I feel I received an excellent education. Looking back, I can't think of anything I would have liked to learn about that I didn't learn, or didn't have the opportunity to learn. Sometimes, I was frustrated because we had so many different classes going at once, but I now realize they do it so our education is not limited. We have a lot of competition from other schools in our area, and I feel they push us to try to be better than anyone else. -- Marketing

My experience in the RU MBA program was top-notch and surpassed all of my extremely high expectations. The pharmaceutical management program has given me the tools to become a leader in the industry and has made my modest career change smooth as silk (pharma R&D to pharma marketing and business development). All the big pharma companies participate and sponsor the program, which includes six pharma electives, a pharma consulting project, industry scholarships, and monthly on-site seminars with industry executives. The program gets as close to the real world as possible and should be used as a model for all MBA schools. In addition, the overall structure of the RU MBA program makes it possible to pursue a general concentration like marketing or finance at the same time. This combination of focused industry knowledge and general business skills is exactly what employers are looking for! -- Marketing

[The program offered a] good mix and quality of students from all around the world with varid education backgrounds and work experience. [The program provided a] great variety of concentrations to choose from and provided the cutting-edge & relevant programs, i.e. Pharmaceutical Management & Supply Chain Management. [It was a] great value for the money -- with some of the leading industry practitioners as the co-professor. A lot of things that were taught in school I could see and use in the real world. I am so glad that I attended my MBA program at Rutgers. -- Consulting

Although Rutgers GSM promotes diversity, within the classroom there is very little evidence. There are a number of international students but a minimal number of American born people of color, particularly in regards to women. This can be isolating -- I would need to see growth in this area before I could recommend the program fully. -- Marketing

The pharmaceutical management program is the best in the U.S. and probably the world. Pharmaceutical industry interaction is high and is a good opportunity for networking for full-time offers. Core courses also were good. -- Anonymous

Rutgers has a lot to offer only because of its location, right next door to New York City. Some of the professors were fantastic while others were a disgrace which [caused me to leave] the MBA with mixed feelings. -- Finance

Rutgers University admitted many outstanding students -- the peer students are very good, above average [compared with] other business schools (as I know many people from other graduate schools). Most students are very competitive, very smart, and hard working. The motivation in the school environment is very strong. Everyone is ready to challenge the business world. -- Anonymous
