CLASS OF 2002 GRADUATE COMMENTS

Queen's MBA is an intense 12-month experience. It excels in a number of areas. It has an emphasis on team work and leadership, enrolment is small (60 people) so cooperation and sharing is the norm, and the teaching standards are very high. -- Investment Banking

This program is particularly suited to people from a high technical or scientific background. It attracts a good number of people who are already proficient in very advanced skills; there are virtually no light-weights in the program who have bought their way into school. It is a very challenging experience and quickly adds to very talented people. Being from a vigorous scientific background, I know my friends from my previous studies and work would appreciate the focus and challenge of this program. -- Nonprofit

The extensive networking experiences were invaluable to anyone. But, more than the educational learning, it was a fantastic opportunity to learn about yourself, your own strengths, and areas for improvement. It was easily one of the best years of my life, and I would wish for all of my friends to have the same intense experience. -- Finance

I had an excellent experience at Queen's. The school surpassed my expectations. It is a personal program where you get to know your classmates, faculty, and administration well. This enhanced the learning, career exploration, and level of service. I would strongly recommend this program to others. -- Finance

Great program for those that have a technical background and wish to return to the same or a similar industry upon graduation in a more senior position (i.e., management). -- Consulting

I felt that the team learning, and the personal approach within the program due to it's small size, helped build an incredible experience with long-lasting friendships and networking benefits. Also, the one-year program, which still covered all the basic tools, is something that really helps maintain a competitive edge in terms of industry specific experience. -- Anonymous

The best experience of my life. This mandatory team-based MBA has changed the way I interact with people and this is obvious in my current job, which is also team-based. All the skills that I have learned during the program are already in use. -- Operations

In general, it's a great one-year program, lots of studying, lots of hard work, and lots of fun. The school of management is making continuous efforts to improve the quality of the program and better fulfill the needs of students. -- Investment Banking

[Do you feel you could have learned as much from a distance-learning MBA program?] Queen's has an outstanding team format. The major learning I got from the program came from my teammates and classmates. That value cannot be obtained through distance learning. -- Marketing
