CLASS OF 2002 GRADUATE COMMENTS

The program offers the best return on investment. The one-year program gives you the education necessary to succeed in the real world, without extending too much in time. People are friendly, the town is designed for students. -- Operations

[The program] mimics and, to some degree exceeds, the work environment. After you are done with the program, work seems like a breeze. You get to learn on your feet while you hit the ground running!! -- Information Technology

The Katz School offers an 11-month MBA. Though the administration is lacking in some ways, the resources for a good education are there. One key to success is having access to someone who has already gone through the program and can help you navigate past the pit falls. -- Consulting

If my friends were looking to advance in the workplace and gain a competitive advantage I would recommend the program. I would also recommend the program if they were looking to gain the knowledge in a short amount of time, thereby increasing their return on investment. This program is in no way for everyone. It is fast-paced and packed with knowledge. -- Biotechnology

The University of Pittsburgh has outstanding teachers, great students, and is priced significantly lower than the surrounding MBA programs in Pittsburgh. -- Marketing

The teaching is outstanding. The program is very intense and challenging. I think it adds the same value as the two-year MBA programs. The teacher-student interaction is at the top level. -- Information Technology

Obviously, if you want to save your time and money, while you also want to improve yourself in management and English, join Katz. It is a perfect place. -- Finance

The experience was very enlightening. Having worked for a small firm I was not exposed to the many intelligent and interesting people that attended Katz. Additionally, the curriculum was set at a pace that was very similar to what my previous work environment was. I didn't feel in anyway that I would find it difficult to reenter the work force. Of course there were some courses that were superior to others, but the superior ones worth the price of tuition. -- Finance

Katz is a great program in that you can elect the one-year MBA program or the dual-degree (two-year) program. However, there may be benefits to attending an MBA program in a more cosmopolitan location. It depends on the needs of the particular student. -- Marketing

The program is like no other. It's fast, hard, and to the point, just like life. You have to learn to pick up things on the fly to do well. You have to be team oriented. You have to perform. These are all crucial in the workplace. Katz did an excellent job teaching these and many other key tools to their students. -- Entrepreneurship

It is a very tedious and tough MBA course. I feel that if I can go through this MBA program, I can do any other programs. I learned a lot and now I feel that I have so much to contribute to any organizations I will be working for in the future. -- Sales Management

A very collaborative environment. Students and faculty are here to help each other out. The school plans a lot of fun activities both at school and outside of school. All in all, my MBA experience was excellent, I just picked a difficult year to graduate (poor economic conditions). -- Finance
