CLASS OF 2002 GRADUATE COMMENTS

The cost-benefit of the program is not going to be better anywhere else. Very low cost, combined with an excellent placement office, makes it a very good choice. The small number of students in the program provides added camaraderie. -- Human Resources

The Broad program provided the educational opportunities I was seeking while providing a good balance between team and individual work. I believe the program will also provide me with a great return on my investment, both monetary and opportunity costs. -- Finance

MBA at Michigan State is a very cohesive learning experience. Teams in all courses and the diversity in the program make it a very enjoyable and rewarding learning experience. It has given me the opportunity to walk out of B-school with ZERO debt. I actually have a net positive balance from the consulting assignments while at school. -- Information Technology

The Broad School has its own personality that must match that of each of its students. I would recommend the program to a student looking for a small, personal, informal program with the intent of finding work in one of the Broad School's well-regarded concentration areas. A prospective student looking for such a program would be quite pleased here. -- Finance

The small size of the program is a double-edged sword. It is great for faculty interaction, small class size, and knowing your classmates well. It is a negative because fewer industries and companies can be served by the school, and job searching outside of those relationships can be difficult. -- Finance

The MBA program at Michigan State is very strong in Supply Chain Management and strong in Corporate Finance. If my friends were not interested in these areas, I would not recommend MSU to them. If they are interested in these fields, the career placement center is outstanding, and the costs for the program are reasonable especially when compared to other top 30 schools. -- Operations

The Broad program offers an excellent opportunity to learn about business concepts in a relaxed atmosphere. There aren't so many students that you get lost in the crowd, and, as a result, not only do all of the professors know you by name but so does the staff. This comes in handy during the job search! Furthermore, the workload isn't so heavy that you can't enjoy a healthy social life while earning your degree. I've had a great time and learned a lot, too. -- Consulting

Even though the job market has soured on many of the MBA class of 2002, including myself, I have not regretted anything about choosing to attend MSU full-time to earn my MBA. -- Operations

The golden egg of Michigan State's MBA program is the career placement [center]. Helen Dashney and her staff are accessible and worked tirelessly to find employment for students during this difficult year. -- Operations

Michigan State is a wonderful place to get an MBA. It's no Harvard, and I thank my lucky stars for that! The program is small, the workload is manageable, and the faculty and staff really care about our success. I would encourage my friends to come to MSU to get an MBA because I know they'll have fun, they'll learn a lot, and the placement office will do everything humanly possible to get them a great job! -- Consulting

The Broad School provides a lot of personalized attention and support to students and alums. This customer-service approach begins well before your first day in class, it starts during the application process. During your time in school, the faculty and administrators know who you are and help you out in case you need it from class-related work to job-search skills. This is just one of the many good things about going to a small MBA program. -- Human Resources

The quality of professors, low tuition, and incredible placement center gives this school more than most. I would suggest it to anyone. -- Finance

My MBA experience at Michigan State University was one of the great decisions of my life. I was given personalized attention in classes and with the placement and career center. The placement and career center went out of their way to make sure I was successful in finding a summer internship and a full-time job during the tough economic environment. -- Operations
